Medication Packing

A medication pack contains individually sealed compartments to help you remember when to take the right medicine at the right time. Our medication packs are packed for weekly or fortnightly with individual blisters for up to four different periods each day. It is packaged by an acetated dispensary technician and checked and sealed by a pharmacist as required by law.

A medication pack is designed to:

1. Help you manage your medicines better;
2. Reduce the chance of forgetting to take your medicine; and/or
3. Reduce the chance of taking your medication incorrectly.

Missing or taking too much of your medication may lead to serious health problems and in worst case scenarios, an overdose can cause death.

Our current fee for this service is $5 a week for ongoing regular packing. Prescriptions will need to be left at our pharmacy as we will dispense medications as required for packing.

For carers or patients, we have a live system for you to check to see how many prescriptions or repeats we have left at our pharmacy.
